The governor of Louisiana did issue a statement that there were several thousand National Guardsmen, battle-tested in Iraq, were patrolling the affected areas, and that they carry M-16s, are locked and loaded, and are authorized to stop looters by any means necessary.

What pisses me off the most is all the stories i see on aol.com about the new orleans saints' coach worrying about where to play, or how to keep his team focused on the season. its bullshit.

agreed, and yes, i know he has new national guardsman, but i think the numbers were 4200 of them, seems a bit miniscule to the number of people...its just crazy, thats all im saying

Im not going to respond to everything you've typed cuz I dont have the time or energy.

But I've seen nothing wrong AT ALL with anything our Pres has said or done in the past week. Your over-dramazation of the $10 billion relief bill makes no sense. 4 days? THATS A FUCKING MIRACLE! The fact that they got congress together that fast should be in the record books!
And YES THEY DID come back early to pass this bill too!

I know everyone is upset and wants answers NOW, but you can't just wave a wand and make everything fixed like that *snaps fingers*
It takes ALOT of time, and ALOT of planning.
This is going to eat up alot of time and energy from our country, so this needs to be planned down to the finest details.

i agree 4 days aint bad, im just amazed that, that amount of time runs pound for pound with how long they took to make a decision on the brain dead veg. in florida earlier this year....one life was made into a big epidemic matching that of 3 states in devistation ( ... )
