So, I'm going back to work on Tuesday. And when people ask me what I did over the summer, I'll be able to say 'I wrote a novel!'

EEEeeeeeeeeeeeee! (that was me squealing in excitement)

Ok, so it's only 70k. And it's a children's novel. And it will never ever be published.

But still.

I WROTE A NOVEL!

What's that nonsense about it never ever being published? You MUST offer it to publishers! Otherwise you won't get the millions you obviously deserve for it. Duh.

It's being entered for a competition at the end of October, which was the incentive to write it, so after that I figure, yeah, there's no halm in throwing it at publishers. I'll keep you updated!
