Jesus Christ.

I remember back in high school, as much as I bought into the fatphobic culture and developed an "eating disorder" (thanks, btw, for giving me a totally different perspective on ed's... mine was actually a totally understandable, and really rather rational, response to actual social pressure) I never, ever, bought Gwen whatever's "weigh down workshop" or any other "Christian diets." There was something in my gut that so clearly knew that that was outside the boundary of acceptability... so far outside of it that even my fatphobic self refused to buy into it. I knew, no matter how mentally unhealthy I was getting over food, tying it into my relationship with God might really be the end of my life--and I mean that literally.
