Reasons to love my country.

I think it's too easy to be ashamed of your country these days. In the UK, the media like to dredge up any scandal or expose any misguided action and label it "Broken Britain" and a sign of the times. I love this idea! Britain is a pretty amazing country, England as well, and we should be proud of that. Telling anyone that you're proud to be English should not be the recipe for disaster that it currently is.

Fellow English person here :D I completely know what you mean. I, and most of the people I know, moan unrelentlessly about all things British, yet when I think about living anywhere else, I know that there are so many things I'd miss. It's not really anything I could pinpoint, just the whole 'Englishness' of the place. Despite not liking certain things, I always miss it when I'm away.
