pattern-seeking missile, or how I finally exploded.

This is a light-hearted post because I was in need of one, for many reasons.

A friend of mine recently wrote down and analyzed the fictional characters they found attractive (emotionally, physically, whatever). Nothing revolutionary, I bet loads of people have done this. I had thought about it before, but I was always afraid to find any sort of ( Read more... )

I... oh wow.

I wouldn't say I have as much of a uniform kink as you, but Matsuda looks fine in that outfit.

Winston Churchill is totally right ;)

Oh, my, that is an attractive picture. :D

This is an interesting idea, I may copy it. :D There will certainly be patterns for me, too, I fear.

Matsuda is a cutie, definitely, and Winston Churchill's fondness for him is well-documented. *nodnod* I believe he aspired to Matsuda's fantastic handstand skills.

Roy most certainly looks good in his uniform, and that swagger is definitely attractive.

When it comes to my favourite host, I waver between Tamaki and Kyouya. I like Tamaki's sweetness and his innocence, I guess.

Now I feel a little guilt about [lovable + idiot]. More like [lovable + swagger] maybe? Tamaki's nervous energy makes him high as a kite but also susceptible to being in the dumps - it's like he's always chasing after a dream, which is wrought with risk but also so very rewarding. I can identify with that.

It was a fun exercise, I recommend it, even if you never publish the results. It also got me thinking about the character's places within the story and what I find interesting/attention-grabbing about the world/setup itself. And of course, the things they have in common, because there are other patterns I can think of...

...and that is totally my phone background for now. Tee-hee.

Oh, no, his being an idiot is part of his charm, it's part of his innocence. I like that he's had some sadness in his past but he's still so upbeat and positive. It's also kind of nice to see the guy be the beautiful flighty one and the girl be the street-wise sarcastic one (Haruhi is one of my favourite anime girls).

I'll probably do it this weekend, then. I can picture some trends, already.

Hee, cool.

Yes - I think that one of the most compelling things about Tamaki is his desire and effort that he puts into making everybody happy. He's not always succeeding or even going about it the best way, but he keeps trying.

I love Haruhi! Although, when I watched the first episode I wondered how Harry Potter made his way into anime ;-)
