Are we doing a beach party this weekend?

I want to do it on a friday, but I have to work this friday. I also have to work saturday, but I'm gonna try and get a shift change so I'll be off at 4. does saturday afternoon sound good? La JOlla? I had heard murmurs of Mission, but it's much further away, and quite a bit more dangerous. plus la jolla is much more bonfire friendly.
