I'd rather read a book compiling analyzations of The Sound and the Fury than hear philistines and cavemen laugh and jeer and spit at an openly gay (and the only male) cheerleader, especially when a year ago at this time, those same people found nothing wrong in him. I used to be proud that West Shore was a more open school than some others. I ( Read more... )

another question: was he already interested in cheerleading before "coming out," or did he decide that since he was now openly gay, the next logical step was to cheerlead?

I was sitting in the middle, and I heard a little to my left and above, but alot more (but not a ton) to the right.
