it's the ladies' choice

"So you gonna come in?" Puck asks her and really, that's how this all starts, he invites her to work and she starts going to Philip's on third because it's too close not to and Puck won't let her take a couple of excuses. It's what they do.

She meets Will by accident though. She's sitting at the end of the bar with wine and a script and it's Sunday, not at all a full house, and he sits down next to her. He's handsome and Puck's eyeing them from the other end, watching her carefully as Will asks about her job, the play, and finally confesses to seeing her the last two times in that new Walt Matherson's piece.

"He's a friend," he confesses.

She laughs softly. "Oh yeah?"

"We went to school years ago," he says. "I always thought I'd be the one that would head to the stage, or well, be a teacher and Walt would do ... well, it doesn't matter."

Her lips curl and she says something sweet like you've done well and he laughs and touches her arm. She likes that
