[The speaker's voice is laced with a bit of annoyance, but much stronger than that is weariness. The rustling of trees' leaves being blown in the wind can be heard in the background.]

When the heck did you get here?! You're not even suppos--
[He stopped himself from finishing those words once the memories came flooding back. It was chaos, pure chaos in Eden. Hundreds of monsters were swarming all over the place, devouring everyone in the city. This is a realm called Luceti. I'm Rydia of Mist, one of the volunteers at the Welcome Center. I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have. Do you need assistance into town?

A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Rydia. My name is Cid Raines.
I ought to be fine finding my way to the town. Is this to be our lives, then? Simply living in some little village?

Most of the time we're left to our own interest, but every so often -usually once a month- the people in charge like to experiment on us. Such experiments aren't harmful -at least directly- but they can be bizarre and embarrassing. You never know if you'll be affected either, and there's no way to be immune to it. The experiments are almost never the same or in a set pattern, either, so we can't predict what will happen.
