[Having spent much of the day merely walking around town, Cid has decided to give the local library a lookover. Reading, at least, will keep him occupied at home when there is little else to do. [Frederic had come to the library in order to get some books on piano compositions when he stops Cid sitting near by. Instead of saying something, he simply takes one of the books he spied about piano compositions and sit down near where Cid is to begin taking notes.]

[He's a little engrossed by the current book he is now reading, but when someone sits by him, he glances up out of curiosity. Was that a book about...?]

[Frederic looks up from his notes at Cid, a little surprised by Cid's sudden question. But he answers with nods then speaks.]

Yes, I am and a composer as well. Would you happen to have a love for piano music, sir?

To be honest, I used to play a little in my youth. I haven't had the opportunity or time in years, but I still very much enjoy piano music.

If you would like the opportunity to play again, I'd gladly give you lessons should you want them. I also go to the Seventh Heaven from time to time and play, you're more than welcome to come in and listen.

[He looked a little surprised at the offer. Piano lessons? He hadn't had those since he was a child, before going to military academy. Cid's first instinct was to thank him for the offer, but no thanks, he had other things to take care of.

But then again, what really did he have to take care of anymore?]

[Bowing his head politely to Cid, Frederic then gives him a small smile. After all, he had found yet another person who was interested in learning piano. To him, he felt quite happy to hear how many were still interested in the piano.]

You're most welcome, sir. And oh, where are my manners? Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Frederic Francois Chopin, it's been a great pleasure to meet a fellow pianist.

[He gave a slight smile in return, nodding back.]

[Pondering for a moment, Frederic wonders if he should this question. At first he doesn't want to, but curiosity gets the better hold of him.]

If I may be allowed to ask Mister Raines, why did you stop playing piano? I hope you don't find me rude for asking, I was simply curious.

I lacked the time and the instrument itself once I entered military academy. Since then, my life has been nothing but, and I had little time for leisure activities.

Military academy? So then, you are a soldier. It sounds as if the life of a solider is a difficult one indeed.

I am, and it is. It is, at the least, a life that gives little time for anything besides work.

Mine was similar to that, for a time. Then I grew in popularity and began getting invited to so many occasions that I can't even remember half of them anymore.
