Ya know, I really don't enjoy this constant string of having a job for a little while, then getting laid off. And why the hell does it always happen right before the deferment on my loans are about to end? Thanks to them raising what I owe, I have to pay more on them now than when I first started making payments.

Ya know, I think I have a pretty good car. Under 70K miles, in pretty good condition, and I've put a lot of time and money into my car. I love my car. My car will easily last me another five years. I do not want my insurance company to total my car. All my car needs is another door. Which I can get for $250. And apparently it'll cost another $3,000 ( Read more... ) -
How I started my new year
By failing to get my paycheck in the bank and damaging my car.
It snowed like crazy Friday. My car was covered in snow. Wipers covered in ice. Both doors frozen. I couldn't get the driver's side open, but I managed to get in the passenger side and start the engine. Used my spray de-icer, which really didn't help on the wipers or anything. Going to the chiropractor was like going an amusement park.
They put you on a funky table and crack your back and neck, which I imagine is what would happen if I was on a thrill ride and could sit through it without getting sick.
I had to start seeing one since work is kind of screwing up my back and neck. I was waking up every morning with a horrible headache and popping anywhere from two to eight Advil a ( Read more... ) -

I am employed!
I'm starting at another factory as a parts inspector. This one isn't through Manpower, and they're expecting to offer a benefits package down the road. I start first shift on Monday, but will hopefully go to second soon enough.
It's only $7.40 an hour, but it's better than my current salary of $0.00 an hour.
Woot.
