[Here's a voice no one's heard on the phones before. It took a bit of effort to use it given her form, but Arf's a smart wolf.]Does this town have a group dedicated to keeping an eye on and helping out the younger residents? Some of the adults here take advantage of the young. I guess those from Earth would call it a 'Town Watch ( Read more... )

I believe this place has recently shown us why the police are not to be trusted much less counted on.

After hiring a milkman as police chief and then having our milk poisoned or filled with razorblades? It's no doubt that the police here are more of a threat then help.

Exactly. And there were far too many forcing the effects of the milk on the children here. That's unacceptable.

I've heard there have been a couple of groups, but from what I gather, most of them are loosely organized. Getting a large group of us together like that for a long-term project seems to be like herding cats.

Lots of independent sorts, and there's always the problem if you leadership gets droned at a critical time.

I'm all for protecting the kids, but sometimes they don't care to be protected.

Children rarely do and yet they still need someone there for them.

True enough. I have my eye on the ones in my section of town, just in case - some to protect them and some to protect others from them.

You died?

I didn't say that.

Forgive the assumption. You must be talking about some other orange wolf. [You can practically hear her rolling her eyes. Eye.]

If I had been killed I wouldn't be alive now, would I? [not that Naze can hear the wolf grin...]

I am making plans of something similar. Perhaps you would volunteer to assist me.

I will. I'm sure my master will help, too.

[Arf, you shouldn't go committing Fate to things...]

[Thankfully, he's mindful.]

I am sure your master would but I would prefer not to make any assumptions just yet.

Of course, Fate will want to help keep the children safe.

I don't think it matters whether you're an adult or child. Or animal, apparently.

fatefullfriend August 28 2011, 23:53:21 UTC
That may be, but adults in general are far more capable of taking care of themselves when compared to children.

cameracrush August 28 2011, 23:59:07 UTC
So how do you define an adult?

Reply

fatefullfriend August 29 2011, 00:09:20 UTC
That varies on one's species.
