Let's just hang out here together, the three of us.
What a colossal mess this season has been. What a colossal mess this ending was. Yes, it had some lovely emotional moments. The Impala montage was gorgeous. Cas's "assbutt" was hilarious. But overall? Come ON. Dean's only place in the not!big!battle was to get the shit kicked out of him AGAIN? The faceoff between Lucifer and Michael was the lamest (and most poorly acted) thing I've seen in a long time. *THAT* was Armageddon??? Hello?
Kripke, you comic-book-loving, fangirl-despising hack.
I know, right? I mean, REALLY?? This is what it came down to? The archangels whining in a field, inside the bodies of Sam and some half brother we just met in one episode before??
Now see, what would have been truly epic (to me) would have been to have it be Dean and Sam possessed, and then during the fight between Michael and Lucifer, for Dean and Sam to both be able to gain control of their angels out of their brotherly love for each other, and then to have them throw themselves in the pit to take out both Lucifer and Michael. And then have God rescue them, because they showed that love and family are important, and that is what matters, etc.
Something like that. Not the drivel we got. It was just ridiculous!
Carol, what is the way the final battle went down in Hope Verse? Did I miss the explanation, or are you keeping it purposefully ambiguous?
I completely agree with you. It seems that Kripke just gave up or that he knew he was finished after this season and wanted to screw with the fans. This season finale was an absolute joke. Did he even try? And Jared must have thrown the biggest bitch fit in the world to get this ending. So Sam is the cursed righteous one who became the hero even though he didn't want to. That's Sam's problem. He thinks that it is all about him when in truth it's about the better character and actor. Season Six better be really good to make up for this episode. Hands down the worst episode of the series. And the symbolism with Chuck and God. Shame on him.
The only good part was the nice little flash back session and the history of the Impala. Also Castiel's death was explosive . . . literally.
Did Kripke back off early in the season cause he lost interest, but because he's such a control freak, he didn't let anyone else take control either, and that's why it ended up such a mess?
Did Kripke just stop caring, and that's why it's such a mess?
I just don't get it. This season really has been all over the place. And for them to top this lousy season with a ridiculous ending, just makes me want to smack them.
I mean, really, NO ONE thought better of this entire mess?
Good gracious!
Don't even get me started on Kripke as God/Chuck, or the dissing of the fans. You know, dude, maybe the fans wouldn't be complaining so much if you weren't such a talentless hack, you ever think of that??
