Played in Disney Hall today. Amazing... I am going to play about every saturday untill april... Absolutly awesome... I know i could do this for a living, but i wish i had a guarentee that i could succede at it...
shut up! you're miss child prodigy, as I told you on the phone last night. if you really wanted to go into music as a career, you wouldn't have any problem making it. You are so talented and should acknowledge that. You could succeed at it because of your passion for what you do, and because you also have the skills to succeed. So if you'd rather go into music, I'd say go for it! over and out.
Yeah, if you are really good at something than you should go for it. Remember it is sometimes better to take a job you like than a job you just take for the money. I could be a lawyer or a doctor since they make a lot of money, but I want to be a History Profesor since I am already know too much
But I am in such a family of over achievers! My brother is president of the first internet company in LA. My other brother wrote Protools. My parrents are expecting a miracle out of me, and i dont want to disappoint them.
i think we know who the anonymous is. and virginia, they will always love you no matter what you do. don't try to live up to their standards, live up to your own.
well, if they love you, which i am sure they do, then they will want what makes you happy. and if playing music for a living will make you happy, they should understand that. their expectations should be "what makes you happy" not "what makes you the most money". why parents want their kids to go to a well-paying job is because they think money buys happiness. And they want you to get money so you can be happy. but if you are happy as a musician and don't need money to be happy, First: CONGRATS! because that means you are not materialistic like the rest of the population. Second: go for it, play music, make yourself happy, that is all that matters. and if you are happy, then your parents will be happy for you.
