The producer want Arthur to love Gwen as this is a family show and they need the violins.

However, Bradley want Arthur to love Merlin in a bromantic way and more than any other relationship in the show. So, we've seen Bradley's sincere and lovely performance.

Exactly. Unfortunately.. Gwen should just be with Morgana or Lancelot T_T and Arthur and Merlin (romantically or not)!

This is so bittersweet! Poor Merlin not thinking that Arthur would never embrace him. I guess he doesn't see how much Arthur's changed in regards to his feelings for him (whether you ship them or not).

Exactly! Arthur needs to start showing him some love, whether it's telling him that he's very important to him or something or just kissing him (ok yeah that's not gonna happen but you know what I mean :P)

Both of those are extremely appealing! I wish the writers of the show would see how great the second option is. Although I'd just be happy if Arthur told Merlin how amazing he thought he was (because he really does think that).

YES! EXACTLY!! He really does love him (romantically or not) and he needs to tell him how much he means to him. Or show him.

I just think like in 413 when he told him he couldn't bare to lose him, I think he did mean it, he was just afraid that Merlin might actually realize how much he means to him and take it the wrong way (or the right way)...
