Last night I was terrified by the cold realization that someone I loved may have ruined my life in permanent ways. There is nothing to validate this fear, other than a breach of trust, which eventually spreads to every aspect of my every day life as I remember every experience shared

I.. try to take the approach that they only really ruin your life if you can't find some way to salvage it. You know? Like.. they may have ruined your life as you know it.. but it doesn't mean you no longer HAVE a life. It's still there. And you should still make the best of it despite what some childish selfish prat may try to do to it. Don't give them the powah!
