Personality: Selim Bradley is a cheerful, happy, and intelligent young boy. He loves his parents very much and hopes to follow his father's footsteps by joining the army. To that end, he is a studious boy, and is obsessed with learning alchemy. This also he is very inquisitive, especially to the state alchemist. He particularly admires Edward Elric, who became a state alchemist at a young age.

This is of course, an act, one Pride has been practicing for about four centuries. No-one suspects the child of being a monster, and Pride is a monster both literally and metaphorically. His personality can change from being heartless, cold, and calculating, not even reacting to being attacked, to a cheerful sadist that enjoys mocking and striking fear into his opponents. Both of these may be more acts, meant to prove his superiority over other 'lesser' beings. What isn't an act is that sense of superiority and arrogance, as expected from a being named Pride. He believes himself, with no small justification, to be superior to humans and even the other homunculi, and often gets mad if he feels it is being challenged in a significant manner. To Pride, humans range from being completely nothing, pawns that can be played with, or objects of mockery. He does show a twisted respect for some beings, such as those who are unafraid of his true appearance. However, that just means he'll give them the honor of eating them once they serve their purpose. Anything and eveything is expendable in pursuit of his and Father's goals.

There are three main exceptions to this. The first is Father himself, Pride's creator. Pride is extremely loyal to Father and is his most devoted servant. The second is his adoptive 'mother', Mrs. Bradley. This really began after she saved him from being hit by a car. Having never experienced that sort of thing, Pride developed a sort of affection toward her; however, it is probably not much more than the affection a master has for a loyal puppy. The third, is King Bradley, alias Wrath. I interpret their relationship as a twisted mockery of the Elric brothers, based off mutual respect and the deception and mass slaughter of humans. Pride would kill Wrath if necessary...but he would feel remorseful afterwards. It's the relationship only a pair of sociopaths can have.

If Pride does have a blind spot, it is the fact that he is too confident in his beliefs about humans. Pride expects humans to act in a certain way, under certain conditions. He does not account for the possibility of humans acting unpredictably, which can prove to be his undoing.

What your character can offer: Conflict. Just because he doesn't have his powers doesn't mean he can't kill you. His age of course, means he will probably play with the little children in Discedo, who will have no idea how dangerous their new playmate is.

Skill wise, Pride is extremely knowledgeable about alchemy (although he can't use it) and the historical events of his world (since he lived through most of it). Four centuries of life means he has picked up a few things.
As a homunculus, Pride can resist heavy blows (at one point, a car runs over him without doing too much damage), does not get sick, and can regenerate from his wounds. Doing that, however, depletes the lives in his Philosopher's Stone, which is necessary for his regeneration. These may or may not be supressed by his chip.

What is suppressed by his chip is the manipulation of his shadow. When he uses his power, his shadow is a twisted monstrosity made of eyes, teeth, and almost babylike hands. It can cut through nearly anything, and can extend for a radius of several meters. He can also see and speak through his shadow, giving him a large sensory range. His most hideous power is to use it to EAT people, which gives him their abilities. In discedo, I would be willing to make this a temporary increase in power. His shadow is rendered non functional in complete darkness, and is actually destroyed by bright, blinding light, such as from a flash-bang. However, he can simply manifest his shadow again, making bright light a temporary solution at best.

What items will they be bringing with them? Just the clothes on his back. Technically, he comes with a Philosopher's stone and his shadow, but those are really a part of his body.
