I own the anime series for quite a few years now. Loved the music, loved the plot and the characters are pretty likable and in some ways feels realistic. I really enjoyed Koyuki and Maho's little romance as well.
The manga is quite good and the art is very nice too. Its funny how Taira, their bassist, resembles Flee form the Chilly peppers a bit hehe (at least I think so). I even enjoyed their cussing (but of course if you have kids it is understandable you want to keep it clean).
Very endearing little story/anime in my opinion ^^. It works.

From what I've read on Wiki, Taira was indeed modeled after Flea from the Chilis. This is probably one of the few anime series where I liked the dubbed voices much more than the original. I loved Koyuki's voice. I also really liked the other VAs as well. And the cussing was hilarious. I would have preferred to have downloaded the cussing episodes as opposed to the clean one, but at least it's not going to singe my daughter's ears.

The romance was also well done.
