Bra help!

It seems like there are a ton of bras out there, but none work for me, and I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed! I'm a 48c, and my biggest problem with finding a bra that fits is that I have "side boob fat" that will cause the sides of bras to ride up or just be super uncomfortable. Agree with the other commenters that a fit check is in order. If you have a Lane Bryant near you, I've had very good luck with their Cacique line of cotton-blend bras. I'm a 46DDD (aka 46F) who *CANNOT* wear underwire, and I have very sloping shoulders, so I have to find bras with wide straps and wide band elastic, and their bras work very well for me. Good luck!

I had a similar side-fat problem but went down a few band sizes and up a few cup sizes (from 48D to 44E) and everything was much better.

You're probably considerably slimmer around and considerably larger in the cup than your current bra. I'd recommend getting a good fitting. A lot of women are wearing the wrong size bra.

Lane Bryant is a terrible place to get fitted. At my largest, I was properly fitted at Nordstrom--those folks know what they're doing. I've also been fitted properly at Soma. I agree with the poster that said independent bra shops are also good places to get fitted.
