More bands that suck:

4. Dashboard Confessional - I saw these fellows open for Weezer in the summer of 2002. 3. I haven't heard much of Dashboard's repertoire of songs, but I enjoy a the couple that I have quite a bit. I'm not against the 'emo' business in of itself, and I like the subject/what seems like heartfelt lyrics, even if the guy's voice can become grating at times. Dashboard strikes me as the lesser of many other emo evils (Matchbook Romance, anyone?).

Someone in front of me during Weezer sang the entirety of 'Beverly Hills' with the devil horns in the air, as well. I was never confirmed of his sarcastic intentions. In fact, many were singing, and I think they might have been seriously singing along with glee.

I wish that song would combust.

I would never go as far to look down on people who listen to the bands I am bashing here. These are simply based on their live preformances and what impressions I got from them.

I agree with you in the sense that heartfelt lyrics can be good. They are good. But writing several albums worth on the same subject gets boring. You can't just sing about one thing, it limits your creatively and limits what your audience can get out of your songs.
