I trailed off Lost about four episodes into series two. I prefer to just watch them all in a few days, rather then checking in every week. But I read your post all the same, and it gives nothing away. Except I don't know who penny is. Aren't you annoyed though that the creator has said that if it wasn't as popular as it was, it'd've been finished by series two, but they're just stringing it out to see how much money they can make?
I'd not heard them say that - but I have heard them say that if they have their way it'll last four or five seasons, and that any more than that would be just using delaying tactics to put off the ending.
But that comment sounds to me that if it wasn't popular it'd have got the axe, but they'd still have been able to get to the ending.
I think there's still plenty of places for them to go with the show. Oh, yes...
And watching them all in a brief period is a good thing. I watched the first nine of the season in two batches (on DVDs I'd acquired), and then downloaded the other 14 and watched them in about 5 days. Some of those cliffhangers you need to see resolved really quickly.
And watch out for the episode 16 cliffhanger; it's beautiful!

I know how they could get rescued. They should set fire to the whole island! The smoke will be so huge satellites will see it from space. Okay, it would be an ecological disaster, and if it didn't work they'd starve to death, but it's a risk I'm willing to take...
No, you must wait. For a start if I were to say the name "Henry Gale", you wouldn't have a clue who I was wibbling about, would you...?
To tell you the cliffhanger of #16, I'd have to precis the plot of 14-16, and that'll take too long. And in anycase me saying it won't be anything like as effective and chilling as watching it. It is really worth waiting for.
