Sometimes I hear that others perceive my sense of humor as very dead pan...I wonder to what extent that has always been the case...and in what ways improv has helped to keep me from tipping my hat that its a joke on stage, but less so with my friends...I don't feel sillier ( Read more... )

I'm going teaching wild! I've been writing curriculum for the harold troupe and for my level 4 on formats and I'm having such a good time. I got some advice from a couple little birds about not filling up on chips before dinner...so, the opening is going to be focused on less this week in harold class. Gonna get gay with scenes instead. I was watching eastbound and down and listening to the audio commentary. They were talking about how a scene was funny because this woman was reacting to Kenny Powers seriously, and not comically. Then someone said that the whole series was really a drama, it just happened to have a lot of funny things happening to characters with good timing.

Last night's Harold workshop went well. It was awesome to feel really supported by having 20+ people show up...and righteous that everyone had all gathered together to work on bettering the improv scene here in DFW.
