Where were our parents in all of this? How did they not realize that the "baby" couldn't read? I think they were the parents I now curse as a teacher. They care... they bitch at the kid... but the don't do much beyond that. They buy the "song and dance" from the kid and never call and ask the teacher what the hell is really going on. That said... we all survived so they must have done something right
