More Jdramas~

The jdramas i mentioned in my last post are mostly romcoms so my list today are of a different genre. ^^
  • Liar Game 1, 2, the movie (mystery, psychological) - this is, so far, my fave jdrama of all time ahhhhhhhh!~ I'm a big fan of both Matsuda Shota and Toda Erika's shows, so having them both on the same show is just awesome. :D I loved every episode of this show and I recommend this to anyone and everyone haha. It's basically about a really pure-hearted girl who teams up with a swindler to beat the Liar Game. Akiyama Shinichi (Matsuda Shota) is a character no one can hate. Nao(Toda Erika), on the other hand, can be pretty annoying at times, but you'll come to love her. This drama has life lessons, mystery, suspense and a little bit of romance if you squint really really really hard haha. NaoXAkiyama has one of the best chemistry you will ever see, but their relationship is more of the implied than direct type. :D
  > there's also the Liar Game Reborn but I didn't want to watch his one because Toda Erika/Nao isn't in it. Instead, Tabe Mikako replaces her as the new lead. For me, Liar Game wouldn't be the same without her, so no thanks to watching this one. If anyone wants to watch this one but hesitant because you really ship NaoXAkiyama, don't worry, it seems the relationship of the two leads are purely student-teacher. :)) (Edit: I got bored one day and decided to watch this one. It wasn't so bad. So-so. Akiyama seemed so dark without Nao tho
  • Bloody Monday 1, 2 (suspense, mystery, action) - don't miss out on this one Amuse boys fans! Haha. Miura Haruma is the show's lead. It's basically all about a special unit of Japan preventing terrorism with the help of a genius hacker Takagi Fujimaru (Miura Haruma). Bonus: Sato Takeru plays the role of Miura Haruma's bestfriend!!! This is definitely a good watch if you want a break from all the romcom shows :D
    • Risou no Musuko (family, comedy) - Yamada Ryosuke as the main character + Nakajima Yuto as his bestfriend!!! I didn't want to watch this one at first because the plot seemed a bit boring to me, but I'm really glad I watched this one! It's about Daichi (Yama-chan) who transfers to a known delinquent school so he can always watch over his mom who started working in the school's cafeteria. Yes, he has an extreme mother-complex(which he always denies by saying he just really loves his mom). :)) Watch this if you want something light and a bit funny or if you just want to see some yamayuto moments. Haha. Yamada also cosplays as a girl almost every episode which made me a bit insecure because huhu even as a guy he looks prettier than me D: Fujigaya Taisuke also plays an important role in this show! Taipi's character was my faveeeeee (he was so sweet to Daichi's mom :">), and the whole time I was wishing the mom would adopt him because he was just so adorbs ♥
    • Kozoku Game (family, suspense, psychological) - this is a drama that once you watch, you will probably never forget. Srsly. The basic plot you're going to find on the internet says that this is about a tutor who reforms a student using extraordinary methods. Doesn't sound like much, eh? I thought so too. I only wanted to watch this because Sakurai Sho was the lead. And then AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH. The story is MUCH MUCH MUCH more than what the plot says. This is one heavy drama, yo! I mean reallyyyyy heavy. It touches topics like bullying and violence. I'm not sure how to explain this series properly since this genre was on a completely different level. Acting was superb -- every actor/actress was brilliant in portraying their roles. SHO WAS AMAZIIIIING. Every episode will make you wonder what's actually happening. Plot twists everywhere! I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't reveal what really happens. Anyw, if you're looking for something different, something unique and new (are those synonyms haha), this drama will not disappoint. It deserved every award it got. This is just too amazing of a show to pass up. However, do remember how I said that this is a reallyyyyy heavy drama, so I don't think this is everyone's cup of tea. But just watchhhhhhh!!! If you start, don't stop halfway. Finish it. It's going to make you rethink your views in life. Haha. Amaziiiing dramaaaaa. (Also, if you're a fan of Kamiki Ryunosuke, he's here too!)
