So. Right. Wedding stress, what?

anyway, sorry. work is boring me to death... on with the post.
So. Matt and I were doing premarital with our pastor, and after talking a lot with him... decided that we wanted to have a small ceremony now; and have the big pretty one in October. (along with the reception... only we decided now that we're still having them on two separate days... but we're inviting everyone to both of them. )
So, we all checked our schedules, and hey guess what- this Saturday was open,
Lovely!
No!!! Our house is small. Fitting even our familes and a few close close friends is gonna be a trip, let me tell you.
Also. I gotta go with Jill and find a dress today....
Matt's ring should be in tomorrow... speed ordered it. It's pretty though. I like it.
Valentine's Day...... its a must work day at Applebee's.
Meaning... I won't have a job come Saturday.
I've talked to all 3 managers, the general consensus is that wedding or not, unless someone covers my shift for me-- I'll be fired.
The way V-day works... if one were to work a double that day.......... it'd pretty much be a ten hour shift with no break. Everyones been laughing at me so far for asking.. or the people that would... are the ones who work day time with me.
One of the reasons for the early wedding, my pastor had somewhat of a problem with the fact that we were living together (the whole Christian/ pre marital thing. ) And one thing I'm adamant about, is I really want him to officiate, and I want his name; not some random JoP or someone I don't know that I have to pay, on the license. So we talked with him, talked with each other, and decided we were actually ready anyway, and almost just looking for an excuse to actually have the legal wedding early. ;-)
Of course, it didn't really matter for Applebee's . 2 out of 3 managers just asked me if I could have someone else officiate... and that it made no sense.
So... I'm pretty much up a creek in that area. Already have some job applications.. gonna start applying, see what happens.
Haven't decided if I want cake/cupcakes anything like that on Saturday..... prob doing chips /salsa, party food like that, soda, fake champagne (having lots of kids there.) and coffee. <3
Most everyone we invited his coming.. his friend Greg isn't, his wife is a bridesmaid in another wedding that day, and the times won't work out. . . and my friend and her boyfriend, my... idk the relation. My brothers nephew through marriage... they texted me last night saying they wouldn't make it, because it was valetines day, as they were sure I already knew.... and would be spending all day together.
I'm not even going to go into the bridezillaish rant that brings up. As Matt and Jill put it... there's just that much more room in the house for our friends/family who want to be there, yes?
Have a few ideas to decorate with... we'll see what happens. :)
Also... not really doing a bachelor/ette party... but fri evening ater work, going to eat at Mexico Lindo with a few friends, then back to the houes for movies. Might con said friends into helping decorate. . . dunno. haha.
