i got a chocolate package in the mail yesterday!! I've got quite a bit knitting to get through before next week... In addition to all three books of ovids amores.

WOW, that was FAST!
We appologize for the milk chocolate...it was supposed to be dark chocolate, but there was a glitch. ;-) (both of our faults)

that was really fast. i've already eaten one of the eggs. am i to look for smears of dark chocolate on your cheeks when i see you?

I LOVE Ovid's Amores. They're absolutely hilarious. My favorite one is the one about the dead parrot.

It's brilliant. I think it's in Book 2 somewhere; obviously you read it with Catullus' dead sparrow poem in mind. Although it was somewhat tainted for me by someone doing a Lacanian "name-of-the-father" reading of it. I don't support that in any way.

i found it last night...it's book 2, no 6. i'm looking forward to understanding it.
