It is possible to drive from Kenosha to Milwaukee without taking the interstate. However, Sheridan road only to Racine or so, making it impossible to take it all the way from Evanston to Milwaukee. Also, I haven't checked if the Sheridan in Kenosha is the same on on the north shore.

Ah, Sheridan Road--I always, always got lost on that one during my high school years.
