[Tumnus has been keeping quiet, but the faun knows well the time of year that is approaching and it's far too much to ignore or otherwise simply passover; especially after the amount if time Narnia had been stuck in a winter without Christmas.]
Might I inquire of those that staff this Keep... Is Christmas celebrated here?

What sort of gifts? Do they give them to everybody? What happens if you don't give any?

Why, anything you can possibly think of, Sollux. There are certainly no penalties for not giving gifts, but in general things are more enjoyable if the exchange is shared with as many as possible. Generally something personal to the one receiving it is the key to the gift giving process.

Usually the staff who know about it give gifts and do the things that they would do at home. Maybe there will be a small meal. I do not know.
[She will probably spend at least part ofChristmas Eve in the Chapel, but she does not say that either. It is something personal.]

I thank you for your time and reply, my lady. I should hope that there will be an exchanging of gifts amongst those that wish it, then. Perhaps we guests shall arrange an appropriate party for those amongst the staff that wish to attend and join us.

Please, I am called Nieta. If you want a party and can help then I think that we could make something happen.

All ladies should be treated as such, and such is politely and with utmost respect, lady Nieta.
[It doesn't sound like he's being a smartass; he actually sounds 110% sincere here.]
I would be most pleased to give any assistance I am able, if it means the festivities might continue for those that both know and do not know of Christmas.
