Hey, Just saw your post up randomly in the culture section. I was wondering: of any of those books you read thus far, are there any that you would really like to recommend?
P.S. You are totally right on the playing your violin at work thing.
Regarding #1: 0.o $1300?! *is currently broke* Ouch. That makes the pocketbook wince, I'll bet.
Regarding #2: Hmmm... Waitressing? Sounds like it could be... yeah. *is working as a delivery boy/bagger for a grocery store* Tips are always good, though since my first three days of work coincided with Graduation Weekend, I was spoiled and now consider anything below a $10 tip cheap. >.>
*nods* Totally agree on the Violin. Professional fee should be what, $300/hour?
Regarding #3: Wow! I am impressed, seeing as I've only had time for three books period since I got home: The Hunger Games, Paper Towns, and STORM: The Ghost Machine.
All of those aren't published yet, either...
Regarding #4: Gratz! Sounds like you'll be having quite a blast!
Slaughterhouse Five was good, I read it two summers ago for a school assignment. Dun remember all the details anymore, though, just remember it was good xD;.
I really wish there wasn't that two thread limit at the RP..I've been BORED OUT OF MY MIND the last few days. GUH! And the Walter-player who is RPing with me at another multifandom hasn't been on long at the same time as me. Even more boredom!
I miss you being on as much as you used to ;_;
Anyway, I'm off to go ask permission for a third thread since Carrion has been only replying about once a day. I'm too fast of an RPer for this stuff! Dx

I haven't been able to read as much this summer as I wanted too, because I'm taking a summer online class. I've only read about five or so books and most of them are either easy to read or short. I've seen a lot of people recommend Slaughterhouse Five. I'll have to read it sometime and Crime and Punishment. They'll go on my long list of books...

I'd love to. Crime and Punishment was brilliant, and the other Dostoevsky novel I'm halfway through now, The Brothers Karamazov, is incredible.
Also, Slaughterhouse Five is one of the few books I've ever read that has made me laugh and cry at once.
