I'm glad you feel it was worthwhile.

Linguistics is fascinating. I was a Spanish major and took linguistics courses then.

More than worthwhile, it was awesome. :)

It really truly is; and I seem to have a gift for it, which makes it that much more fulfilling. There's nothing like finding a niche doing what you're good at and what you enjoy. But, you're Jewish, so you speak Hebrew, yes? Man, I'm jealous. XD

To be perfectly honest, I don't speak Hebrew. I know how to read the alphabet and I can pray (and understand a certain amount of what I'm saying without looking at the translation). But in a conversation with an Israeli I'd be lost, sadly.
