For me, it's the happiest place on earth because of how much she enjoys it. Getting to experience her experience of it -- that's priceless

You know, it's often forgot about, but there is one other movie out there that's about falling ass-backward into the good things in life. CocktailI actually share your sentiment, though. I have busted my hump to try and get the life I thought I wanted, missed on several fronts, but have "missed lucky" enough times that I've just decided that's the proper way for things to go. It's a good life, so I don't question a system that seems to work

Artem, it's great to hear from you. How is life in Moscow? Are you still working at TopCon?
After I left Moscow, I lived in Tomsk for a year (Natasha had just finished medical school and was doing her residency there). I traveled a lot in Russia... spent time in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, all the dalnevostochnee and siberian cities (Krasnoyarsk, Kansk, Ulan Ude, Chita) -- also in Piter and Nizhnevartovsk, and all along the south, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Sochi.
Natasha and I got married in Nizhnevartovsk on June 1, 2007. We lived in the United Arab Emirates and Oman for another year before we came to the US last year. We're doing really well.
Being honest, canon_fan is not my primary LJ account, so I forgot about it for a while.
I`m very glad to hear that you`ve been travelling around Russia so much, much more than me, and enjoyed it :)
I`m still working for Topcon in Moscow. I visited USA twice, in 2007 and 2008. I`ve been to our headquater not far from San Francisco. I travelled a bit around California and took some photos. Generally I enjoy USA very much. Maybe it looks so good when company covers all payments ;)
I promise to browse your journal now and visit it more often in the future :)
