This is the best review of Slumdog Millionaire I've seen.

I enjoyed the film, and I never quite put my finger on the strengths of the film.

Are you an objectivist, Faustin? I haven't read Ayn Rand's books, and only have a vague acquaintance with the philosophy.

thanks. No, I'm not really an Objectivist -- to be fair to the Objectivists. I'm a post-Objectivist. Rand is, in fact, a fantastic philosopher, and I strongly recommend starting with The Fountainhead and not quitting until you've read most of her essays. I think she lays a great foundation and philosophic defense for evolutionary psychology. Same with her defense of ethical individualism, and ethical libertarianism.
