is there anyway to send him to jail (just for a little while) for being such an asshole? is there any kind of asshole law? if not, can you make one?

Oh yeah, this guy. He's a bona fide celebrity around here, in the sense that everyone thinks he's the most monumental jackass to ever land on the Federal payroll.

While there is no blanket law against being an asshole, there is, fortunately, a law that applies to assholes who also happen to be administrative law judges. Unlike other judges in the US, administrative judges don't have life tenure, and may be removed from office for good cause. If this ain't a good cause, then I don't know what is.

It's funny, I took a class last semester whose basic premise was that the US was a hell of a lot more lawsuit-happy than Japan. I don't imagine that this has done much to change people's impressions.
