Return From Mexico

Last night, just around 10:00, I was on a plane leaving Atlanta. Just about the time I was on the air, this was happening on the ground.

So, for all I know, I might have been sucked into some strange time-space vortex or parallel universe and am writing this post from there. The Morning Glory was closed this morning, so something seems ( Read more... )

We got lucky...Inman Park was completely missed, but Cabbagetown, less than a mile west, got nailed pretty bad. Lauren has a friend over there in the Fulton Mill lofts (as seen on CNN) who owns a condo and is on her way to assess the damage...downtown is missing a window or three, but that seems to be minor damage. As much as I hate the modern glass skyscraper, they seem to be pretty damn resilient when compared to other buildings in the area.

Thanks for the concern tho, how are things w/you?

huh. In my mind, glass skyscrapers were just sitting ducks for tornadoes. Shows how much I know about architecture.

Anyhoo, life is good and tornado-free here in Philadelphia. Mostly done with the second year of law school. Getting married in October. Hecticness abounds.

I heard you got engaged this summer too?
