Maybe I'm still not doing something right, or not setting up a proper combination of conditions, but none of them have properly come back to life. The one I wrote about here that looked good at the time ended up barely getting any better. Most of the activity must have been from the starter (which has fermentables in it). People drank it and enjoyed it anyways! Certainly better than tossing ~5 gallons. More experimentation is in order, perhaps splitting a larger batch into 1 gallon jugs.

also I didn't know homebrew could sit around that long and then be re-activated.. thats interesting.. be sure to update on how that turns out.
