Once my mother in law gave me some iceberg lettuce as a holiday gift for my quinea pigs. I didn't have the heart to tell her that the pigs can't eat iceberg- it contains too much water and causes diarrhea.

So I made tacos. Of course, I grew up as an Orthodox Jew, so we wouldn't eat beef and dairy together. Until I was an adult and moved to the US I thought tacos were made with a bean paste. It was a very good bean paste, though. I make it as a party dip nowadays and it always gets rave reviews.

I was about 13 before I realized that the tacos at Taco Bell weren't made with some kind of bean paste. Then just a few years later Jack in the Box started selling tacos that a lot of people thought were a kind of veg paste but turns out they do have meat in them. I think it would be great if they made meat that tasted like meat. Then people wouldn't have these issues :)

I have had both mice and hamsters for years now and when people ask me about feeding them I make sure to tell anyone who sounds like they might be tempted to get one that they should never feed iceberg because it can kill small animals.
