I took this nap today, right, and it was great and all, but now I have a feeling that, having slept for three extra hours, it may be a while before I feel tired again and ready to turn in for the night. Damn, that was a monster sentence. This is one of the few times this year that I've wished I had made the effort to bring the keyboard down here

You know, in college I felt the same way as you; I was frustrated by the insane amounts of homework I had (albeit my homework was things I liked doing, like writing and reading) and I rarely, if ever, wrote something "for fun." Often I found myself taking what I wrote during class, and then retooling it and making it into what I wanted it to be, and then having people read them to get feedback (most of which, thankfully, has been good).

I guess what I'm trying to say is, try to make time to write the music that you want, that you can enjoy. It is hard at first, I know, because I forced myself to do it as well, but when I took the time to do it, some of my best ideas/writing came out of it.

Also, just know that I am thinking about you and I miss you. Also, I have a letter in the works headed your way. Hopefully you'll have it by your birthday.
