I still give this episode an A+. It's still scary and still suspenseful and while I will agree that Larry does come across as quite the proto-Larry, I don't see Sally and Amy as the same sort of characters at all. Amy's a lot more adventurous than Sally who only goes through everything in "Blink" because something is messing with her life and she wants it to stop.
Also, these angels are different than the ones seen in series five, something the 11th Doctor pointed out at the very beginning of the first half of the two-parter. The angels in "Blink" are simple scavengers whereas the army of angels are much more vicious and aggressive. To me, saying that Moffat removed all the original horror in "Blink" because of the nature of the angels in series five is like saying the Dalek in "Dalek" completely ruined any malice the entire species had.
