What a beautiful, restful place.

One of my favorite places to swim outdoors has water lilies and dragonflies. Promise not to dive into your pond though, noticed that it has a guardian ;)

I have a weak spot for toads. I've been informed by horrified friends that my habit to rescue the silly creatures when they sit in the middle of the road after it has rained is gross...

Thank you, Limone. I'm glad that you like Fr. Mike's garden. The real Fr. Mike would have been most happy to potter away his free days there.

I am proud to say that I did almost half of the digging and ALL of the rock work. It's interesting that I was foolish enough to assume that one could "complete" a pond. It was 2 years ago last month and now I'm thinking of how I can rebuild the waterfall even better. Now if only that was my winter day job!

As I said in my last review of Firestorm...I am so jealous of you, having this beautiful place in your own backyard. A place to relax, meditate & just enjoy. And to think that you played such a large part in creating it & bringing it to all it's glory.

It is beautiful! From the differet coloured lillies...to the sundial...to the goldfish...to the witch ball...to even the toads/frogs...beautiful.
I would have like to have seen a pic of the waterfall section.

I really do enjoy seeing pics of what has been so vividly described in fics...seeing how close my imagination, & the drscription, came to the real thing. :-):-):-)

I added a few pix to the gallery just for you. There is also some commentary on the sundial too.

You can really see now why I wanted to add it in to the story. It's gorgeous...
