Started holiday cards last night. How in the WORLD did my list get over 300? This is insane! Must cut back drastically next year. Perhaps the handwritten note in each is what's taking so long? Ok, girlfriend, that's NUTS. 300? Seriously? I sent 108 in our first batch, and I thought it was out of control.

I set up a system a few years ago, sort of a spreadsheet and an address book in one. I check off the year that I send a card, and that I get a card back. Two years without getting a card, and you're cut. Because the past few years I'd been doing 150 or so, and that was just insane. And this year I did a cheesy form letter for about 15 people. Good lord, you're out of control! ;-)

Much to my chagrin, but also delight, I discovered that I grossly miscounted. I was thinking there were twice as many mailing labels on a sheet. I feel like an idiot, but at the same time, it's a huge weight gone. So yeah, only 163.

I really like your spreadsheet idea. Might just have to steal it.

I was pleased with the outcome as well. I would have cried if it had ended any other way.

I'm pretty sure it's because I don't have cable, and when it was airing I wasn't really interested. I do know who won seasons two and three, so when I watch them I won't have the same surprise at the end, but it will still be fun.

I was also very pleased with the outcome. Not sure I'd have been happy with either of the other finalists.
