Owarimashita!

Another busy, stressful, eventful (but good!) day for me here in Japan. Today was the actual "event" day where, during which I had to sing, dance, act, AND perform a speech--all in Japanese! And it just so happened that it was in front of about 100 people AND a TV camera that's going to post it live on the stations here in the city I'm staying it. ( Read more... )

I would have been terrified. I'm glad it went smoothly for you. :)
What was your speech about? And what's your favorite Japanese dish? (if it is the Green Tea Donuts, which sound delicious, what else do you like?) :)
In middle school, we had to do a Japanese tea drinking ceremony. Have you had to do that?

The speech was just a recitation that I had to do entirely in Japanese...Its part of an introduction to a thank you even that we perform for the people that have housed us during the week. Not too scary, but still s\not something that I would enjoy doing in front of a TV camera!!

As for the tea ceremony, I have done many of those, actually--it wasnt at my school (though I want it to happen again), but I am the president of the Japan club and so I try to get people to come and host them for special events such as that.
