Unfortunately, the communicators are somehow wired to give an electric shock if they aren't used every few weeks or so.

That sounds rather inhumane...

Somehow the word 'inhumane' loses some merit when you say it.

[as;dfljasf why so mean, Anna]

...I suppose it does. But it does not change the fact that this is unnecessary cruelty.

It gave you a shock?

Yes, is that a typical occurence? This is the first I've dealt with it...

I'm... I'm not sure. I haven't been here very long myself.

Oh, I see. I hope that it doesn't do the same to you, if it hasn't occurred yet.

Ah... these devices get a bit tempermental when not used.

fauxsaint September 8 2009, 05:02:35 UTC
So the shock is to be expected?

Only if you don't use it for a while!

May I ask what the reason behind that is?

You can, but I have no answers. I have a hypothesis that it may be a way on monitoring our activity, but that is dependent on a number of other possibilities.

That's unfortunate. There are still so many unanswered questions about this place...

Ah, the communicator seems to shock people when they aren't used frequently enough. Specifically making your own posts, video, texts, or voice, rather than talking to others~

Mm, it should stop now that you've done this.

Oh, all right. What an... odd function.

Thank you for your advice. I hope to make good use of it.

I believe it's to encourage us to interact... though obviously many people ignore that.

Mm, glad to be of help.

They... ignore it? So they get shocked constantly? That's awful!
