I had my second class of the day cancelled so I went to the metro kiosk downtown to get a metro book. I got off at the convention center stop. That looked, smelled, and felt like a real subway station. Cool old brick arches and that blended in well with the new stuff on the platform.

Dock Boggs is my favorite banjo player. Here he is as an old man during his "rebirth" during the sixties folk revival.

Ok So I get a post from ubergeeks that say's Africam is awesome! So I think I know what this is... It's a camera that streams video from...Africa... and, awesomely, thats what it does. This week has been very busy. Last night microminimalist worked all day at her second job. Its a pet boutique. In the heart of the WG. So WG had a jazz and blues fest and one of the stages was right outside the store. This means there were millions upon millions of native WG'ers milling about watching jazz and blues. Today was a stressful day slinging the coffee. It was early and not busy then late and busy. Bad combo, kinda like beer before liquor (never sicker). So I was searching for things to do, engaging in various projects and mundane errands, then bam, overload, stress, danger.

The house next door is up for sale. Maybe this means that the horrible slum lord people are out of my life for good. Any one want to be a fixeruper in the historic Bevo neighborhood? I'm sure it's a steal.

So I heard a random story from microminimalist that some lady from St. Louis is petitioning the court to have a service monkey to treat her exotic specie disorder. I only wish I'd heard more about that. I hope it wins because I want this disorder and I want monkeys in restaurants.
