this week, i have been taking really long lunches with my colleagues.. in a weird way, it's kinda nice... though, in my team, everybody seems to lunch at their desk, including my boss, so that kinda makes me stick like a sore thumb. But well, interaction is good yeah

Oh yes, let me tell you allllllll about Unions and how they fight for employees. I'm in the land of the extreme. Case in pt:

There's been lots of miners recently brought in from Philippines and recently, their union had an issue with their employer. So they're told not to work but yet they're paid their normal wages + USD50 a day to spend + they're put up in a nice hotel. So what do they do???

Hang out at the beach all day till dispute settled loh...

SHIOK yes??? But I guess it's also true what my hub says, unions are afterall impt esp for non-management workers. People who never meet the bosses , who're never heard. For every seemingly unreasonable union strike, there're also employers exploiting staff out there. I guess it's once more, abt balance.

ps : Sg is xconsidered one of the cheapest cities, in terms of cab fares. How much is it going to be now????

SG being one of the cheapest sounds more and more like govt propaganda to me... we are actually getting real expensive. I know its in relation to fuel prices increasing now.. but i can bet my life that even when the fuel prices drop, the cab fare will not drop. It's here to stay, period.

peak hour now longer, 100% increase in peak hour charge, 10=14% higher starting fare & mileague metered fare...
