Thank you. I needed to write something more lighthearted this week, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I like this--philosophical and divine while at the same time human. It feels weird being a lab experiment though.

Err, I don't want you to feel like an experiment. Maybe more like someone who is given the opportunity to create and experiment.

I really wanted to marry the ideas together, so I'm glad you were able to enjoy this piece.

Nice! I like the mix of originality and parable in this. Ms. Draxys seems like a good teacher.

Thank you! I actually drew from my personal experiences as a teacher for Ms. Draxys. I also thought about what my teachers would have said were they in a similar situation.

This was a great parable, as adoptedwriter said. The idea of creating zombies was fun. There were many humorous parts, such as the reference to "fight club." It moved along very well. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Thank you! I suppose I should have added some lich types for fun to compliment the zombies. Also, thank you for pointing out the 'fight club' reference! I was hoping someone would note the little references like this one. It makes writing this kind of stuff worth it.

I hate to think of us as creatures who will always eventually start wars, but evidence bears that out!

And I don't blame our overseers with getting fed up, either. The student who managed to both flood AND then scorch her little universe does not sound promising as a caretaker. :O

I really hate to think that we would always follow the war scenario as well. When it's suggested that Amaya added too much sugar to her protein, I thought, what is that is what causes it all? If I'd had more time to play with this, I might have shown how some students have very peaceful microcosms, while others like Durga's were tragically lost. I imagine that it might have to do with the recipe and temperament of the student.

I channeled my students and teachers for the feelings of the overseers, because it's definitely something that can translate into other subjects.
