Dntel is NOT the side project of Ben Gibbard. The other guy from The Postal Service, Jimmy Tamborello, is Dntel.

And furthermore, Dntel is not really small project. Jimmy is pretty damn popular everywhere else, especially Germany from messing around Mouse On Mars/Oval/Plaid style ambient drill and bass electronica.
