This is what someone wrote to an agony aunt column in one of the newspapers we get:

Dear Diana, )

public post, patriarchy, idiots, feminism, hilary duff, roger federer, mock

LOL to that article. Talk about deluded fan.

AND OMG that article. Thank Goddess for feminism. That's why Lilith didn't take that crap. Screw that! When's my husband gonna make a meal for me and spiff up the dog when I come home?

Hah. Yes. Exactly. I'd like him to wash his face, and brush his hair, and look pretty for me when I get home from work. XD

That fan just made me laugh so much. I swear I should write in about all the people I'm "in love with" hee.

Is the first article even real ? LOL.

As for the second... I know that I should be totally appalled and all - the non-hippo part of me is - but, maybe because you mention Roger about the first article and more certainly because of the "Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him" instruction, I began picturing Roger preparing the evening meal and trying to look pretty as a posy, a little smile on his lips while waiting for *insert your slash OTP Roger's partner here*.

The "master of the house" part didn't really help me to bannish those thoughts from my slash-infested mind, I fear, quite the contrary... *very kinky thoughts*

But it's totally appalling, right. I'm not even sure if that err surreal picture isn't still every man's - worse, plenty of women's ? - fantasy... I guess it is... :/

LOLZ! The first article is real. Or as real as it can get...

With Roger+Male it wouldn't be a question of sex roles right? Same sex and all..

Between a Man+Woman it because a question of sex roles being defined by society on the basis of superiority v/s inferiority. That's why it's appalling, that just because there's a difference in sex and gender one is to be considered inferior to the other.

Oh, no, it would definitively not be appalling with Roger in it - could never be. I was just following the same trail of thought as the posts above - what if it was the man who made the diner and tried to look pretty and all - but my mind just bent it in a slashy way... XDD

Yes, it's really a pity that the obvious differences between men and women have been interpreted as the superiority of men over women... I guess that men were (are) really afraid of the female mind. *evil witch's laughter*

I quite agree, after all Man is said to be afraid of what he doesn't understand!
