Unfortunately for some reason LJ won't let me edit this letter so all I can do is add this comment, and (since my letter is too long to post as just one comment), it successors. I hope my fic-writer manages to find my prompts this way!

Dear Author:

Thank you so much for writing me a story. I’ve done this fic-exchange since it started and it has become a favourite of mine. I’ve had wonderful stories both years and expect I will thoroughly enjoy my present this year too. Because I know all the fandoms I am interested in are rare, I have made requests in the maximum allowed, as I hope this will help with matching. For similar reasons I have requested 'any' characters rather than limit my requests to specific characters.

Look here for my requests, information about the fandoms, and tips about what I like )

“An Apology for the Life of Jeannie Robertson” is the overarching title for the series which Janet Sandison gave to a series of four books: Jean in the Morning, Jean at Noon, Jean in Twilight, and Jean Towards Another Day. Janet Sandison was better known when she wrote the “My Friends” series under the name of Jane Duncan. Unusually (as most people came across the ‘My Friends’ books first, which were best sellers in their day), I ‘met’ this author through Jean in the Morning, many years ago when I was 14 years old. It is NOT, in any way, a children’s book. The first and third in the series remain my favourites, though I also have a fondness for the second. I am distinctly less fond of the last, which I think rather more sentimental than the author’s usual work. I only know of one fan-fiction for these novels - written for rarewomen last year by my sister. I have not written any myself. I did request some for Yuletide for a couple of years; but as it became clear as the sign-ups progressed that I’d never match on this fandom ( ... )

My requests

Alexander Trilogy - Mary Renault
Any Character

Bunnies: I will be pleased with a story about any of the women nominated, set in any of the three novels in the series (Fire from Heaven, The Persian Boy, Funeral Games). I have a few ideas to give you; I do not expect a story which incorporates all these ideas! Perhaps you could write a story about Kleopatra’s life after she was married off to her uncle? Or a story about Roxane’s adjustments to being the wife of a Great King always on campaign? Or about Roxane after Alexander’s death? Tell us more about Eurydike’s childhood. Why did she develop such ambitions? How did Olympias manage being left behind when Alexander went on campaign to Persia? Tell about her schemes - tell about her frustrations with his letters back home. How did Sisygambis manage the household while Alexander was away? What did she think of his letters to her?
