Sutcliff Swap - Dear Creator Letter

Apr 12, 2015 23:01

Thank you for writing my request. I really hope you have fun with it, enjoying the prompts you received. I provided optional details, because I understand they can be helpful. If you prefer to write something different, I am sure I will enjoy that too.

Requests

This the first year I've included fanart within my request as well as fanfic. My requests would be somewhat different for art than fic.

And this taxes my memory as I stupidly didn't write down what I requested! Hopefully I've remembered them right but if not and you would like some prompts please ask one of the mods to PM me and I'll correct this.

Dawn Wind

Fic: We get a tiny glimpse of Regina's life before she meets Owain again; tell us some more about that, please. Alternatively, what about Lilla's life after Owain leaves? Or what about years later: do Lilla and Regina ever meet?

Art: Frey's Horse as a foal with Owain. Or Frey's Horse throwing Vadir. If horse-art doesn't appeal, how about a picture of Lilla and her siblings

Sword at Sunset

Fic: I'd like a glimpse of Bedwyr and Guenhumara after they leave Artos.

Art: Bedwyr with harp in the final battle in the novel (perhaps losing his harp?)

Mark of the Horse Lord

Fic: Gault - he was a kingmaker of a king who sacrificed himself for the tribe. How does he feel about that afterwards?

Art: In my mind's eye, Gault's is a face of character rather than particularly handsome. And I see him scowling at lot.

Outcast

Fic: If possible, I'd like to see something of Justinius' professional life before Beric joins him.

Art: The draining of the marsh.

Examples of stories I have written within can be found at A03: http://archiveofourown.org/users/fawatson/works.

What I like:

• I like stories that are character-driven and also those that are plot-driven (though I prefer the former), but as long as something is well-written I usually like anything (so I suggest you just opt for what you like to write).

• I have no preference about the story being serious or humorous; I think that sort of decision is best left to the author. Witty repartee in dialogue does appeal regardless of whether the theme of the story is serious or funny.

• I generally prefer stories that are true to canon, but occasionally do enjoy a well-written AU.

• Although I rarely write sexually explicit stories, I have no objection to reading them. However, I prefer any sex to develop logically from the plot or exploring some aspect of character development.
