TrickorTreatEx - Dear Author Letter

Sep 11, 2016 19:51

Thank you for drawing/writing my request. I really hope you have fun with it, enjoying the prompts you received. I provided them because I understand they can be helpful. If you prefer to write something different, I am sure I will enjoy that too.

Requests

I've included fanart within my request as well as fanfic.

Mark of the Horse Lord

My ideas are all ‘trick’ rather than ‘treat’ and all linked to haunting (though not necessarily very scary):

Conory - is he haunted by Midir or Phaedrus?
Gault - he was a kingmaker of a king who sacrificed himself for the tribe. Is he haunted by Midir or Phaedrus?
Do Liadhan’s enemies haunt her?

Frontier Wolf

Similar to MofHL most of my ideas are linked to some kind of haunting:

Lucius - does he get his farm in the afterlife?
They say cats have nine lives: Hilarion has acquired a cat which acts a little too much like the cat at the fort.
Those wolf cloaks: does the wolf imbue its wearer with its qualities?

The Charioteer

Once again - all 'trick' prompts:

Bim keeps an eye on Ralph throughout the war (what does he think of Laurie's dithering?).
Michael Odell continues his journalism career, using his son as a medium.
Lucy’s dead parents disapprove of her new marriage (this was not something she ever expected to have to deal with (this could be humorous).

The Last of the Wine

And again - all 'trick' prompts:

The gods do as they will with one of the characters. (This could be humorous)
After his death Lysis finds himself trapped this side of the Styx; he needs the help of [Alexias, his wife, Sokrates, Phaedo….) to travel across.

The Mask of Apollo

To be added

Examples of stories I have written within can be found at A03: http://archiveofourown.org/users/fawatson/works.

What I like:

• I like stories that are character-driven and also those that are plot-driven (though I prefer the former), but as long as something is well-written I usually like anything (so I suggest you just opt for what you like to write).

• I have no preference about the story being serious or humorous; I think that sort of decision is best left to the author. Witty repartee in dialogue does appeal regardless of whether the theme of the story is serious or funny.

• I generally prefer stories that are true to canon, but occasionally do enjoy a well-written AU.

• Although I rarely write sexually explicit stories, I have no objection to reading them. However, I prefer any sex to develop logically from the plot or exploring some aspect of character development.
